  • Low admission chances at the initial option chosen
  • Discovery of a better course or institution
  • Personal cause or relocation
  • Satisfies the course requirement of your desired course elsewhere

Is Change of Institution Form Out?

Yes, the JAMB Change of Institution form is always available shortly after the announcement of the release of the JAMB results. The form serves to change your institution of study in case you no longer have an interest in the ones previously selected at registration time.

In 2025 as is usually the case, JAMB has also made the form available on their portal. Therefore, if you are reading this and you’re ready to change schools, feel free to go ahead and make that change.

Is Change of Institution Still Ongoing for 2025?

Yes, the Change of Institution for 2025 is still on. JAMB likes keeping the portal open for some few months, especially before the majority of schools initiate their Post UTME or admissions processes.

But don’t worry. There are institutions which close their own change portal beforehand, and if you don’t apply then your change may not be considered.

When is Change of Institution Opening?

The change of institution procedure usually starts sometime after JAMB results are out. In 2025, the results came out around April, and change of institution portal opened a bit later.

You don’t have to rush, but the earlier you do your changes, the better. That way, your new institution will receive your updated information before they begin screening or Post UTME.

When is JAMB Change of Institution Closing?

Closing date is not given. JAMB does not always make a closing date public. But most often, it closes before most institutions finish their admission process.

To be safe, make your changes at least two weeks before your new school’s Post UTME. Also, check the school website regularly in case they post their own deadlines.

How Many Times Can I Do Change of Institution?

JAMB allows you to do a change of institution three times at most. This means that you have multiple chances to correct, but you must make good use of them.

Also, for each change you make, you need to pay the N2,500 fee again.

Can I Do Change of Institution 3 Times?

So make every change necessary. Don’t change schools lightly.

Where Can I Do Change of Institution?

Can I Do Change of Institution After Accepting Admission?

So before you click “Accept,” make sure you are 100% okay with the school and course.

Can I Do Change of Institution Twice

Yes, you can. You can make a maximum of three changes through JAMB, so two is absolutely fine.

Just remember that with each change, it will cost an extra N2,500.

After you have made your changes, it will typically take between 1 and 2 weeks to be reflected on the school’s portal. Sometimes it could be faster, and sometimes it could be 3 weeks.

If it has been more than that, you can contact JAMB support or consult with your desired school.

Can Cyber Cafe Do Change of Institution?

Technically, you can only do it through JAMB-accredited CBT centers. But you may still find some cyber cafes willing to help.

Not all schools permit change after their Post UTME screening. Some will indicate in black and white on their website that changes made after Post UTME will not be accepted.
